What is this role about?

The Lead of Talent Acquisition & Management plays a pivotal role in SAL’s transformation by bringing in and retaining the right Tech, Legal and Business talents.

The successful candidate will:

  • Involve in talent strategy and transformation of a SME going on digital platform business
  • Lead a small team to run HR operations for a 100 strong organization
  • Achieve goals in a nurturing, autonomous and progressive culture

Key Accountabilities 

  • Acquire mission-critical talents for SAL (Tech, Legal, Business & Senior roles)
  • Oversee recruitment of corporate & support roles, as well as HR policy & compliance matters (1 reporting staff)
  • Ensure service standards are met for core HR services such as recruitment, payroll, claims for turnaround times
  • (Jointly accountable) with HR Automation & Analytics to scale high volume, repetitive processe
  • (Jointly accountable) with HR Talent & Capabilities Development Lead to address bad hires and regrettable turnover issues (through pay reviews, selection process, and retention measures)

Descriptions of the Job Role

  • Talent Acquisition
    • Develop and execute effective recruitment strategies
    • Review and manage the hiring process to ensure good candidate qualities and experience. This includes establishing hiring protocols, identifying effective recruitment channels and funnels, and maintaining a database of reserve candidates and ex-employees
    • Pre-empt and address manpower needs and improve timeliness of recruitment
    • Effectively ‘sell’ SAL’s employee value proposition to potential candidates
    • Business Partner to stakeholders on Talent Management issues such as employment disputes, visas and overseas hiring (foreign talents)
  • Talent and Rewards Management
    • Review and manage various schemes of service (perm, contract, temp etc)
    • Review and align compensation & benefits policies to attract, motivate and retain workforce with appropriate industry benchmarks
    • Advise senior stakeholders on salary offers and retention strategies for mission critical talents
    • Develop and implement programmes to retain talents in the organisation for the fulfilment of current and future business requirements
    • Effectively onboard new talents to ensure good culture fit and assimilation
    • Ensure effective exit management to maintain strong employer branding and talent ‘export’
  • HR Operations
    • Manage HR operations with a small team (compliance and management) 
    • Manage and monitor budget for Talent Acquisition and Management projects
    • Review and scale HR operational processes
    • Maintain talent related databases & HRIS systems


Candidate Qualities

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is an experienced talent acquisition lead (6-8 years’ experience) from a Tech company or Recruiting firm specialising in tech and business talents
  • Has some experience in HR operations, such as payroll, HRIS, pay benchmarking
  • Enjoys working in an agile, innovative and dynamic environment
  • Enjoys problem solving as a team
  • Exposure to overseas hiring will be an added advantage
