Chief Justice’s Cup 2019

Fancy footwork, cheering crowds and jaw-dropping penalty kick-outs—these were all in good supply at the fourth edition of the Chief Justice (CJ)’s Cup on 27 July 2019. Organised by the Singapore Academy of Law (SAL), the CJ’s Cup is an annual fundraising effort that supports the Yellow Ribbon Fund (YRF) – STAR (Skills Training Assistance to Restart) Bursary. In 2019, S$109,900 was raised for the Bursary, which supports the education of disadvantaged and vulnerable ex-offenders. This is the highest sum ever raised during the CJ’s Cup.

While COVID-19 has put this year’s edition on hold, you can still do your part with Force Majeure: a night of fun for the legal fraternity to come together as a community. Join our Guests-of-Honour, The Honourable the Chief Justice Sundaresh Menon, and President of the Law Society of Singapore, Gregory Vijayendran SC, in your best outfit and coolest virtual Zoom background for a memorable night of camaraderie!

Highlights include a musical number by YRF and the Food Court of Appeal – a chance to bid on a dinner specially crafted by celebrity chef Willin Low. The event is only open to the members of the Singapore Academy of Law and the Law Society of Singapore. Tickets at: https://www.giving.sg/yellow-ribbon-f…
