IHC Resource Library

Your one-stop resource location for In-House Counsel

About

The Singapore Academy of Law was established in 1988 to bring together the Bench, the Bar, the Legal Service, and academia. Thirty-eight years on, we remain committed to this purpose.

Building on this foundation, we have developed a dedicated one-stop resource hub for in-house counsel. Designed to support the evolving demands of corporate legal practice, the hub brings together tech, practical tools and insights to help in-house lawyers navigate complexity, deliver business value, and stay ahead in a rapidly changing legal landscape.

Courses

As in-house counsel, your role extends beyond legal advisory—shaping business decisions, managing stakeholders, and navigating an increasingly complex regulatory and geopolitical landscape. As local businesses grow, these responsibilities will also increase in scope. There is clear value in strengthening capabilities that support both legal and commercial objectives.

Our In-House Counsel Certification Programme (IHC Programme) is designed with these realities in mind, offering practical insights and skills tailored to the in-house environment.

Insights

Regional Counsel

Legal issues rarely stay within one jurisdiction. But many in-house counsel only confront cross-border complexity when it’s already unfolding.

Regional Counsel is produced by Singapore Academy of Law as a podcast for in-house counsels working across Asia. Each episode unpacks the legal and practical differences that shape cross-border work—from unpacking real situations, restructuring to regulatory risk—across Asia.

New episodes drop fortnightly on YouTube and Spotify.
